Getting to Number 1 on Bing

It is so important to build pages and content that can be found by search engines.  Google and Bing, play the most important roll in building your regular, sustainable traffic growth.

Content is King.  Build knowing that you can add quality content.  Optimized pages would then be Queen.  Having pages that can be read, that emphasize the content is the mate to content.  Winning then just comes down to how many peons thing the King & Queen are good rulers.

Recently on my Inland Empire California site, which is a content driven-news site  about the area of Southern California, east of Los Angeles, we have passed major competitors.

We are Number 1 in Bing on:

  • Inland Souther California
  • InlandEmpire

We are number 2 in Bing on:

  • Inland Empire
  • Inland Empire CA
  • Inland Empire California

The important thing is that we are passing much larger news papers, who have many more pages on their sites.  We have about 15,000 pages indexed in the three engines, and our next three larger competitors have 400K, 465K, and 850K pages indexed.

Being larger isn’t an issue with Bing, clearly we are competing and winning on our niche, which Bing has focused on more than the count of the pages.
